A plastics factory in Bulgaria with a 300 kWp rooftop solar installation was not using all of its generated solar energy. When production did not consume everything generated, the surplus fed into the grid at rates that did not justify the solar investment. Integrating a battery storage system resolves this by capturing excess energy to maximise PV yield.
